A 360° Approach to Student Success

MCC’s holistic approach to student services addresses the real challenges that students face in accessing and completing skilled trade programs. From the moment students walk through our doors, they’re supported by a dedicated team that understands their journey and is committed to their success.

Our Student Services Include:

• Career Coaching & Mentorship – Individualized career planning, goal-setting, and weekly coaching with staff who understand your background and your goals.
• Job Placement Support – Direct connections to local and regional employers, with a focus on long-term career paths in machining and manufacturing.
• Apprenticeship Onboarding – Guided support through the apprenticeship registration process, including RSI hour tracking, employer match support, and wage advancement planning.
• Academic & Technical Tutoring – After-hours tutoring and shop floor instruction support to help students master complex skills and concepts.
• Life Skills & Financial Literacy – In meaningful partnership with NuPoint of View, students receive financial literacy support, credit coaching, budgeting help, and financial goal planning.
• Trauma-Informed Case Management – One-on-one support from our ‘Promise of Purpose’ partners who specialize in motivational and trauma-responsive coaching methods.
• Transportation Assistance – Guidance on accessing local travel support or subsidized transit options to help students reliably get to campus and work.
• Document & Application Assistance – Help with completing workforce program paperwork, housing forms, FAFSA, and other critical documents.
• Access to Government Services – Referrals and hands-on assistance in accessing social safety net benefits or community resources.
• Life-Long Placement & Alumni Support – We don’t stop after graduation—students can return for job placement support and coaching at any time.
